How much does the CautionLabs API cost?

CautionLabs is usage-based: $0.40 USD per 1,000 moderation requests, roughly 2,500 credits per $1 USD. There is a $5 USD minimum purchase, no subscriptions, and no seat fees — you only pay for what you use.

Is there a free tier?

Are there rate limits?

What happens when I run out of credits?

Requests return a 402 Payment Required error with the code insufficient_credits until you top up. Credits are added to your account instantly after payment.

What content categories does the API detect?

The API returns boolean flags across twelve categories — toxicity, hate speech, harassment, self-harm, adult content, violence, drug content, weapons, PII, spam, minor safety, and profanity — plus a top-level flagged result.
